ENY/ACRL Spring 2018 Conference Registration is now OPEN!
“Data, Libraries, and Justice”
Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018 – Colgate University, Hamilton, NY
This year’s conference explores the ways in which libraries and librarians are working to bring to support data literacy and privacy education. Please join us to explore this theme, and learn more about what you can do in your library to address data privacy concerns!
Speakers Include:
  • Yasmeen Shorish, Data Services Coordinator and Associate Professor at James Madison University, “Valuing Privacy in a Surveillance Society.”
  • Melissa Morrone, Supervising Librarian in the Shelby White and Leon Levy Information Commons at Brooklyn Public Library, “What happens when I log off? Data Privacy Literacy in the Library.” 
  • Joshua Finnell, Associate Professor and Head of Research & Instruction, and Andy Pattison, Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Colgate University, “Endangered Data & Environmental Justice in Upstate NY.”
$40 for current ENY/ACRL members, $55 for non-members (which includes a 1-year membership!). Payment is available by check or by card/PayPal.
