Angela Hackstadt is the Subject Librarian for Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration and Law at the University at Albany. In this role, Angela assists students and faculty with research and navigating scholarly communications issues, provides reference service, and provides library instruction and outreach for her subject areas. She is wrapping up a term as Government Relations Chair of ENY/ACRL and is actively involved in ACRL and the Politics, Policy, and International Relations Section (PPIRS) of ACRL. Her research interests include scholarly communications and subject librarianship, data privacy, qualitative methods, and food law and policy.

She also serves the college through work in academic standards and honesty, copyright, and technology resources, and is a reviewer for the ALA Choice magazine. Her current research focuses on linking open access content with commonly used internet sources. Christina is grateful for the learning, professional development, and networking opportunities provided by ENY/ACRL, and would be honored to help facilitate these opportunities as the Treasurer.
Heather Whalen Smith
Heather Whalen Smith is the Library Director at Cazenovia College’s Witherill Library in Cazenovia, NY. Prior to her current role in library leadership, she was the Collection Development Librarian at SUNY New Paltz’s Sojourner Truth library. Both positions required significant fiscal management. For two of those years, she served as a publicity coordinator for the committee, which translates well to the Communication Chair responsibilities. She has also been involved with ACRL as a discussion group lead and as a presenter. Brenna is excited by the opportunity to connect with ENY/ACRL members and the Board as Communications Chair.
Government Relations Chair
Jean-Paul Orgeron

She has primarily focused on the proposal review process in the programming committee. Sarah has past experience with planning conferences for other professional organizations, including Council for Exceptional Children while working on her MLS in 2010-2012. Sarah has a vast background in programming. She served as a director of a museum for a year, where she successfully collaborated with other museums for a large multi-museum event. She has also put together many local events for the SUNY Oneonta campus community through the various committees she is involved in. Sarah has enjoyed her time on the programming committee and would be honored if elected to serve as chair.
